KEEPING THE KIDS HAPPY
Depending on where you set up on the parade route and what time you arrive, it could be some time before the parade reaches you. Keeping the little ones happy until the parade reaches you can be a struggle at times. Here are a few suggestions to help keep the little ones warm, dry and occupied.
Proper clothing, with extra Hats, gloves and socks
Snacks and drinks – Fruits and veggies are always good.
Drinks like water or fruit juice or if it’s going to be cold outside maybe some hot chocolate.
Blankets or sleeping bags to wrap up in
Chairs or cushions/pillows to sit on
Colouring Books and Crayons
Activity Books
Games
Electronics – (Remember to charge them first)
Small toys
Plastic bag to put any garbage in. (Let’s leave our streets clean)
